The voice of Nepal is a reality singing show. It is aired from 27th August,2018 in Kantipur HD TV on every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm. The audition of the program was started from 20th of March, 2018.

ANC Event Management Pvt. Ltd is the production company of the show. Sushil Nepal, the host of first Nepal Idol and now the Execution Director and host of The Voice of Nepal. According to him, the franchise for The Voice of Nepal is bought directly from its format owner Talpa Productions, The Netherlands, and they are directly providing the required support.” Laxman Poudel who had served as the director for Nepal Idol is the director and Project Head of the show programme. Firoz Timalsina is the co-director.

Running Format of The Voice of Nepal

The show has been divided into three rounds; Blind Round, Battle Round and the final live show.

Blind auditions’ is the most intriguing phase of the show, and it brings excitement and fairness to the show. From this stage, each coach chooses 10 to 12 contestants, and the rest are return home.

The next round is ‘Battle Round’ where selected contestants are coached by their own coaches, and the team. Each member battle amongst each other from the same team. Half of each judge’s contestants—five out of 10—are to be eliminated from this stage.

In stages that advance ahead, coaches then start eliminating their own contestants; only here does the audience get involved where they can vote to select which one of the bottom two do they want to see keep in the show. Finally, each of the four coaches will have one mighty candidate who will finally face the contestants coached by other coaches. The live show will be up for the audience to vote their contestant and make them ‘The Voice of Nepal’.

Mobile App of  The Voice of Nepal

Unlike the traditional audition for the show, the show has a mobile app for iOs and Android.The contestant were selected on the basis of the digital clips of their voice sent in the apps. Digital clips were received in total of 12,000 within 30 days and it was taken 20 more days to select 108 participants. Among whom, some of them are non-residential Nepalis from Japan, Australia, Dubai, and India.

The contestants can sing any types of songs in any languages except in Hindi. The reason to exclude Hindi songs are to prevent the Nepali songs being overshadowed because there is high probability to choose Hindi songs by the contestent.

Coaches for The Voice of Nepal

The Coaches of the show are Pramod Kharel, Sanup Paudel, Abhaya Subba, and Deep Shrestha, are the music genious of Nepal. The program will be end up in single 29-episode show.

Prizes for the Contestent

The winner is set to receive Rs 2.5 million and an album contract in around of 2 million budget.
